Year 2 Historical Event

The first methods of protest that the suffragettes partook in was marches and singing. The words here are lyrics from one of the songs they sang which was written by a suffragette. I have drawn three sets of feet which represent walking or marching but at the same time show the progression of women’s status. The first is a woman with no shoes – she has no say in mens affairs. The second woman has shoes on – she is starting to protest about the way women are treated and demands the right to vote. The third woman is wearing big manly boots – she demands to be treated equally with me and will not stop expressing her view until she gets what she wants.
